All of the traits described here are categorized as Legendary traits.
Secondary traits are traits that sometimes appear with primary legendary traits.
All of the legendary traits can be applied to either Pouflons, Vespire, Ursuki or Elyvians, though not all subtypes are available to every species!

Pouflons
Unicorn Pouflons - Pennon of Aventre
In addition to the standard unicorn horn, unicorn pouflons can have any one of these types of unicorn horns.
|
Pouflons with unicorn traits can all trace their ancestry to the pennon of Aventre, a family said to be one of the oldest in the species.
The Primary traits of an Aventre pouflon are:
Secondary traits include:
Individuals with Aventre and other varying ancestry may have a mix of these traits and traits from other families. |
Royal Pouflons - Pennon of Tourbillon
Pouflons with horns or tails that spiral can usually trace their ancestry to the pennon of Tourbillon- the current ruling family.
The Primary traits of a Tourbillon pouflon are:
The Secondary traits include:
Individuals with mixed ancestry always display at least one of the two Tourbillon traits, be it the curling horns or the spiraling tail. |
Dragon Pouflons - Pennon of ???
Dragon pouflons can also inherit another primary legendary trait- a crystal runic color.
Pouflons with a crystal runic color have a shining, faceted look to their runic color. Additionally, a pouflon with a crystal runic color can have white pupils instead of black. |
Dragon pouflons are actually the offspring of a pouflon and a vespire. Since the circumstances leading up to such a phenomenon are very rare, so is this type of pouflon.
The Primary traits of a Dragon pouflon are:
This type of pouflon can have a hard time fitting in to pouflon society. Vespires tend to be more welcoming and tolerant of these pouflons, so some decide to live among them instead. |
Capricorn Pouflons - Pennon of ???
The origin of Capricorn pouflons has long been shrouded in mystery. The most probable theory is that they descended from a few mutated aquatic pouflons, but many believe in the tales spun of the original Capricorn pouflons prancing out of glistening sea foam along the shores of Bellacoste. All Capricorns can be fully furred, scaled, or a combination of both!
The primary traits of a Capricorn pouflon are:
Secondary traits include:
Capricorn pouflons are able to switch between having a fish tail and four legs to their 'true' form which replaces their back legs with fins. This is a magical ability similar to every pouflon's ability to withdraw their wings. |
Royal Capricorn Pouflons - Pennon of Marée
The Royal Capricorns of Aequor believe that they are descended from the ancient and great Leviathans. Not Leviathan pouflons-- but the creatures from which that name was borrowed. Royal Capricorns can have several styles of betta-like fins. The current ruling family are pouflons, but the other species have also been spotted with these traits.
The primary traits of a Royal Capricorn are:
Like regular Capricorns, Royal Capricorns are able to switch between having a Capricorn tail and four legs. Royal Capricorn traits may be obtained using the Royal Capricorn potion, or by layering Capricorn and Royal potions. |
Vespires
Royal Vespires - Strata of Ebenshir
Vespires with mismatched horns or raptor claws call the Strata of Ebenshir their family. Many are part of the order that safeguards the Lucid Altar, though not all.
The Primary traits of an Ebenshir vespire are:
The Secondary traits include:
|
Cherub Vespires - Strata of ???
Sometimes, the union of a vespire and a pouflon will result in a Cherub vespire. These vespires are known for having rounder, softer features and one less digit on their hands. These hybrids are generally unknown beyond the Ebon Wreath. Whether they’re a new discovery or buried history is currently unknown.
The Primary traits of a Cherub vespire are:
The Secondary traits of a Cherub vespire are:

Capricorn Vespires - Strata of ???
Capricorn vespires are surprisingly tolerant to cold, murky waters, adapting to these inhospitable conditions by strictly controlling their own body heat. All Capricorns can be fully furred, scaled, or a combination of both!
The Primary traits of a Capricorn vespire are:
The Secondary traits include:
Capricorn vespires are able to switch between having a fish tail and four legs to their 'true' form which replaces their back legs with fins. This is a magical ability similar to every vespire's ability to withdraw their wings. |

Ursuki
Royal Ursuki - Reverie of the Heartwood
Ursuki with an extreme affinity for nature are often considered royal. Having even one of these traits is viewed as an incredible gift.
The Primary traits of a Heartwood ursuki are:
The Secondary traits include:
Affinity Body is an ability ursuki can turn on and off. When activated, their body completely takes on the element of their chosen affinity. Natural Communion can physically manifest as a wreathe halo (pictured) or as a glowing mask. |
Cherub Ursuki - Reverie of the ???
When a pouflon and ursuki perform the love spell together, it sometimes results in a "cherub" ursuki! These ursuki often have softer features and one less digit on their hands and feet, though every cherub is different. Cherub ursuki are welcomed almost everywhere they go, though some do find them a little odd.
The primary traits of a Cherub Ursuki are:
Secondary traits include:
Cherub ursuki with the Cherub Body trait possess unusual grace and charm despite their size and upright stature. Whereas a typical burly ursuki has a lumbering power, Cherub-bodied ursuki are fleet footed and spritely! |
Capricorn Ursuki - Reverie of the ???
Capricorn ursuki are often considered guardians of the rivers, lakes and seas they call home. "Capricorn" ursuki tend to gravitate towards others of their kind and form communities-- or schools! They can be found wherever water flows. All Capricorns can be fully furred, scaled, or a combination of both!
The primary traits of a Capricorn Ursuki are:
Secondary traits include:
Capricorn ursuki are gifted with the ability to shift between two distinct forms. A land form, similar to other ursuki with four legs and their true form-- or "Capricorn" form-- where their hind legs are replaced with fins. This is similar to a pouflon or vespire's ability to hide their wings. |
Royal Capricorn Ursuki - Reverie of the ???
The Royal Capricorns of Aequor believe that they are descended from the ancient and great Leviathans. Not Leviathan ursuki-- but the creatures from which that name was borrowed. Royal Capricorns can have several styles of betta-like fins.

Dragon Ursuki - Reverie of the Cinbarri
Dragon ursuki can also inherit another primary legendary trait-- a crystal runic color.
Ursuki with a crystal runic color have a shining, faceted look to their runic color. Additionally, an ursuki with a crystal runic color can have white pupils instead of black. |
Dragon ursuki are the hybrid offspring of an ursuki and a vespire. Due to the reclusive nature of most ursuki, unions of this nature are relatively rare, though not unheard of. Dragon ursuki are able to produce pneumir, like their vespire parent!
The primary traits of a Dragon ursuki are:
Ursuki are very tolerant of hybrid sprouts, raising them just like any other ursuki. All ursuki are welcome in vespire settlements, and Dragon ursuki are no different. Many embark on their journeys and wind up settling down with vespires permanently! |
Elyvian
Royal Elyvians - Chorus of Deinos
Primal Ears are horn-like material that can vary in size and direction, though they always end with a point. Each ear is hollow and ridged with elegant holes that allow the elyvian not only to hear, but sense pressure changes in the air as it filters through. Sometimes they faintly whistle.
Primal Beaks and Crests can vary quite a bit in shape and material! They can be boney, toothed, scaly, furred, feathered or even have a sail– they’re quite diverse! |
Royal elyvians are viewed as quite fearsome and wise. Considered the ideal form, these primal elyvians claim to channel the power of their species’ formidable past. To be born into this Chorus is a great honor.
The Primary traits of a Deinos Elyvian are:
The Secondary traits include:

Capricorn Elyvians - Chorus of Ichthus
Capricorn elyvians, uniquely adapted to hunting fish, tend to form small colonies off the coast of Velourose. They are at home both in the water and on the sea-battered cliffs they roost on. These capricorns are rather aloof– they haven’t been seen in Aequor in years! All Capricorns can be fully feathered, furred, scaled or a combination of the above!
The Primary traits of a Capricorn Elyvian are:
The Secondary traits include:
Capricorn elyvians are gifted with the ability to shift between two distinct forms. A land form, similar to other elyvians with four legs and their true form– their Capricorn form– where their hind legs are replaced with fins. This is similar to every runic species' ability to hide their wings. |
Golems
Golems are created, not born. No amount of wishing will create a Golem. How they are created is a selfishly guarded secret, lost to time. Due to their unique nature, existing characters cannot be converted into Golems.
Anatomy
Golems are traditionally crafted of natural, non-precious stone. Their bodies take on a segmented appearance to allow them free movement. All Golems have runic conduits that disperse the energy from their Runic Core throughout their bodies.
A Golem’s runic color will always be present in their Eyes, Runic Conduits, Runic Core and from any cracks in their stone. Think of their Runic color as emanating from inside them like the light from a candle!
A Golem’s Runic Core does not always have to be placed in their chest. They can appear elsewhere on the body as well and be more or less protected, but must always be visible.
Golems are not beholden to the normal anatomy rules for each species, meaning they can bypass certain trait and marking rules. Markings that would normally be mandatory on a species (cheek and knee spots, eye markings) are not required on Golems.

Runic Core
A Golem’s Runic Core is responsible for bringing cold stone to life. In order to craft a core, runic material must be distilled down to its base elements through a meticulous and forgotten art. While any runic material works as the base for a Golem core, some believe that more powerful Golems are created by using harder to obtain materials.
Runic material can be obtained from a variety of sources, including but not limited to: runic flowers and crystals from the Dawn Garden or the Lucid Altar, runic spots on the species of Bellacoste, or even from the runic streaks found in a Fulgulisk.
Runic material can be gathered from willing sources, but is not always obtained ethically– but where your Golem’s core came from is up to you. Species
Unlike standard characters, a Golem’s species (pouflon, vespire or ursuki) is not determined by their outward appearance, but instead by what runic material comprises their Runic Core. Unlike standard characters, a Golem’s outward appearance can differ wildly from the species determined by their core.
While a Golem’s outer casing can simply resemble the species they’re associated with, those that created them didn’t always follow the rules. All Golems have access to all species traits and features from Common - Enchanted rarity.

For example, this Golem has a Vespire core, but also has features from ursuki and pouflon body types and traits. Rumor has it that every so often, a Golem has a casing that is completely different from its core. Yes, you read that correctly– if you wanted to, you could have a Golem that looks mostly or completely as a Pouflon or Ursuki, but is classified as a Vespire.
Golems in this unique situation sometimes realize they aren’t how they should be. How they react to that is up to you! Due to their unique ability to pull from all species pools, Golems are not bound by normal hybrid rules and can access traits that would normally be Legendary (Cherub, Dragon, etc) on their species. However, outside of hybrid traits, Golems can not currently access any Legendary or Event traits at this time. |
Sentience
Golems were not created to be sentient. However, many are created using runic material taken from living and deceased Bellacostians. Over time, they sometimes pick up on the memories and personality of the Bellacostian their Runic Core was created from.
This has unintended consequences.
Every so often, a Golem will gain sentience. Some will start life afresh, while others will find themselves bogged down by memories of a life they didn’t live. It can be a confusing situation for a newly-awakened Golem, and many were decommissioned and left in Brouzet due to what, at the time, seemed to be an irritating bug.
Golems created from Fulgulisk material are unlikely to ever gain sentience. Some have hypothesized that only Golems created from the runic material of Bellacostians are afflicted with this unintended side-effect of the Runic Core process.

Magic
Golems possess limited magic, though some can be trained over time to expand their use of the magic powering their bodies. Unlike their creators, Golems are generally only able to use magic for limited offensive and defensive purposes.
Magic keeps a Golem moving, so they must be careful not to expend it frivolously. Some are more powerful than others, but all Golems possess what some consider a major flaw: they cannot fly or withdraw their wings.

Affinities
A Golem can be infused with elemental magic to bolster their Runic Core. Affinities can drastically alter the appearance of a Golem’s casing, as well as give them elemental magic to pull from, granting them a wider array of arcane prowess.
The Golems pictured above are merely examples! The Affinity possibilities are nearly endless– if you have an idea different from our examples, don’t be afraid to ask us if it’s possible.
Before you get started, remember: all Golems must consist of some sort of solid material, either entirely or as keystones holding less solid parts of their casing together. For example, the Shadewalker Golem is comprised of fossil keystones holding the tar-like ichor in place. All Golems require structure of some sort and should not be entirely made of an element!
